Update your skills, discover a new talent, or chart a career path at your own pace and at your convenience with our Online classes.
Each class consists of 12 lessons available for you to access each Wednesday and Friday for 6 weeks (approximately 24 hours of instruction). Interactive quizzes, assignments, tutorials, and online discussion areas are available via the Web to supplement the lessons. Read your lessons and ask questions of your instructor at the times most convenient to you.
To get started you need Internet access, an e-mail address, and a Web browser.
How it Works:
1. For complete descriptions, dates, and additional software requirements, go to www.sccommed.org and sign in. Click on Courses and select the Department under the Online Courses column that you would like to study. Click on the title of the specific class to get a more detailed description, syllabus, etc.
2. After you decide which class(es) you want, click on Add to Shopping Cart..
3. You then go to Checkout.
4. To access your class lessons, go to www.sccommed.org, sign in, then click on current registrations in the left column menu. The class you are registered for will come up. Click on Go to Class in the Location section of your class listing. This will take you to your class lessons.
Gatlin Education Services
Sierra College Community Education in partnership with Gatlin Education Services is pleased to offer new not-for-credit online certificate programs. They are designed to provide the workforce skills necessary to acquire professional caliber positions for several in-demand occupations in the following subject areas:
These programs will prepare you for developing expertise in your desired career fields and/or prepare you for industry certificate exams. Although each online course is self-study, each course has an instructor assigned to answer student questions and to help solve problems. Each program has specific learning outcomes related to industry standards. In addition, Gatlin offers financial aid.
Courses range from 12 to 460 hours in length and course fees range from $795 to $4,095.
