Youth String Orchestra
Back for a sixth exciting season, youth string
musicians (grades 3 and above) can enjoy this
opportunity to play together and improve their
skills, while rehearsing and performing classical
and light popular string music.  The YSO is open
to violin, viola, cello and string bass students. 

Musicians need to have an understanding of basic counting and rhythms, be able to read/name notes and play with good intonation, know first position.

Musicians must audition by playing a short segment from a prepared piece of music and sight read for the Conductor.  Contact Pamela Buck at (916) 965-5704 to schedule your audition appointment.  (Bring application and payment.)

Conductor Pamela Buck is a private strings teacher, was Conductor for 14 years in the East Bay are for the Young Performers String Orchestra, and a professional violinist and chamber musician.
