Sierra College Sports Camps

WHERE: Sierra College Aquatic Complex, 5000 Rocklin Road, Rocklin, CA

WHEN: The practices begin March 3 and runs through May 30.  Summer quarter begins June 2nd.

This is a year-round team for competitive swimmers ages 5-18.  Emphasis will be on stroke development, technique, conditioning, goal-setting, physical fitness and race strategies.  Professional coaches will motivate athletes to improve in a fun and positive learning environment.  This will be a United States Swimming (USAS) registered team* and all members must be USAS members.  Participants must become USAS members subsequent to registration with SSAC. (This is a separate fee.) There will be several USAS sanctioned meets per year that the team will train for and participants may choose to attend.  Participating in these meets is optional and at the discretion of the parents or guardian.  Meet participants are responsible for all meet fees, travel costs and arrangements. Note:  Swim meets are not part of the Sierra College Community Education Program.

COACHES: The clinic will be directed by Chris Breitbart.  Chris is currently the head coach of Sierra College’s Men’s Swimming and Water Polo Teams and the Rocklin Aquatic Masters Swim Team.

Dive Camps Beginning
This camp is recommended for individuals ages 5-18 who have little or no diving experience. Camp will cover basic diving skills, as well as flexibility drills and body alignment exercises. Students will learn in a fun and safe environment and individual goals will be set to encourage students advance in the sport.

Coach:  Roland King has 20+ years experience coaching age group, collegiate and national level divers. He is a former high school All American and NCAA champion diver and 4-time NCAA conference coach of the year and 2007 NCAA National Coach of the year.

Beginning Dive Camp

Dive Camps Advanced
This camp is recommended for individuals ages 8-21 who have some experience with the sport and have a competitive list of dives to compete in an AAU, USD, summer recreation team or a high school team. This camp is designed to develop and improve competitive dive skills, including technique and execution. Camp will include springboard training supplemented with dry-land training of stretching and body mechanics.

Advanced Dive Camp
